This SecureCI release was mainly about modernizing our infrastructure as code, our release process, and automating manual steps to set us up for quicker releases in the future. It was a very long and painful process, but finally, an updated version of SecureCI™ is available! So, what can you expect from this release?

New Features

First and foremost, we were able to add new browsers that can be used by Selenium.

  • Firefox 47
  • Chrome 54
  • Chromedriver
  • Xvfb

Upgrades

We were also able to upgrade some of our tools.

  • MySQL from 5.7 to 5.7.23
  • JDK from 1.8.0_101 to 1.8.0_144
  • Apache HTTP Server from 2.4 to 2.4.18-2

For instructions on launching a version of SecureCI in AWS, refer to this blog post

So, as always, take this machine out for a spin, and see what it can do for you. If you already have a SecureCI™ box up, and are looking to upgrade it, reach out to us, and we can discuss options. Leave your thoughts/comments below, and enjoy the new box!
