Objective
Assess the quality and security of a commercial software product for automating health care business processes.
Background
A mid-sized software products company sought to address its software quality and security issues by assessing and improving its software quality and security processes and practices. The organization was looking to identify both near-term, tactical approaches for improving their product and an overall improvement to their testing practices.
What we did
Coveros performed an overall risk assessment of the software product, highlighting both tactical and strategic improvement options. In addition, Coveros made software testing recommendations to assure the next release of the software product was adequately tested for compliance against system requirements, security requirements, performance requirements, and health care regulations.
Results
- Developed an overall Master Test Plan capable of effectively testing the application against both quality and security objectives.
- Created an improvement plan to help improve quality and security processes for the organizations.
